Computer Numerical Control is the automated control of machining tools by means of a computer. A CNC Machine processes a piece of material to meet specifications by following a coded programmed instruction and without a manual operator. This method is utilized heavily in our laser cutting and marking services.
Milling Machines are very versatile. They are used to machine flat surfaces, but can also produce irregular surfaces. They can also be used to drill, bore, cut gears and create slots.
At Mag LED, we’re able to manufacture many of our products by the process of Injection Molding. Injection Molding allows us to make watertight enclosures, molded plugs, and connectors. Mag LED also specializes in injection molding for housings or lenses that protect LED modules designed for our customers.
Turning is a material removal process, which is used to create rotational parts by cutting away unwanted material. The Turning Machine can be used on the exterior of the material being machined, or on the interior which is a process known as boring.
The Vacuum form machine is utilized to create custom parts and accessories- a sheet of plastic is heated to a forming temperature, stretched onto a single-surface mold, and forced against the mold by a vacuum. This process can be used to form plastic into permanent objects such as protective covers and lenses.
Our CO2 laser cutting machine can cut most organic materials. The twin tube 150w laser is able to cut, engrave, and burn with the touch of a button. Our laser cutting machine is able to offer our customer custom-cut fire barriers for our LED boards, We also cut lenses and other translucent cover materials.
Our Fiber Laser is used to mark boards for quality control. Using organic materials, a single 50W fiber laser is capable of marking any metal surface.
Plasma Cutting is a process that cuts through electrically conductive materials by means of an accelerated jet of hot plasma. Typical materials cut with a plasma torch include steel, stainless steel, aluminum, brass and copper- although other conductive metals may be cut as well.
